Contribute

General guide to contributing.

To contribute to this project is very easy. Simply read through the info section for each project to get the background information on locations, characters and storylines. Visit the other subsections for further information or to view already submitted works to get an idea of what is so far going on. Some sections will not be open at the start as the first priority is getting the sitcom off the ground.

Once you have the idea of what is required and the mood it should be written in, get writing. Don't forget we will accept anything from a simple one liner, a single scene, an advert or a whole episode. If you are more of an editor or enjoying doing rewrites then feel free to send them in. Everything is possible.

The file types we would like any contributions in are either: Microsoft Word, Final Draft, or in a basic txt file. It will also help enormously if you are able to format your script properly, script writing software will help you do this otherwise a google search will find hundreds of help guides for beginners.

Once you have something written that you are happy enough to submit then this can be emailed to info@theTVproject.com

What do you get from submitting your work to theTVproject.com?

All work sent in to us will be listed in full on this website along with the authors credit (within reason: racist, abusive or any any other overly obscene or offensive material will be discarded).

Any work of any length that is accepted into a final script will be credited on the credits page. If and when the series is picked up by a studio we will ensure that all work filmed is fully credited.

Don't expect to be paid for any writing, even when accepted for filming. The whole point of this project is to help would be scriptwriters get a foot on the ladder to success. This is more valuable than a few throwaway cents or pennies. That is not to say that no royalties will be paid out whatsoever. All financial matters will be discussed once a studio has made a firm offer. It may well be that the studio takes over the whole financial arrangement, taking the whole project under their own wing. Either way, we would hope that all writers and editors will receive royalties dependant on their level of input but at this stage we can guarantee nothing. It is possible that nothing gets picked up by a studio in which case the whole project will be kept as an online series/movie/book. We are not counting any chickens yet.
