Protecting your own material:
Any scripts, episodes, scenes, ads or any other submissions sent in to theTVproject.com are automatically subject to the usual IP (Intellectual Property) rights for authored material. We recommend however that upon submission you also take extra precautions to protect your material by using the tried and trusted copyrighting method used by artists and writers for decades: Print out a hard copy of your work, seal it in a stamped, self addressed envelope and mail this to yourself through your local postal service. Once stamped/dated and delivered to your door by the postal service, keep the envelope unopened in a safe place. It is not nescessary for you to go through the official UK (or US) copyright service to protect your material. You will automatically fall under our official international copyright while you also retain the full rights to your own material.
